Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. - Jude 1:21

I've always been drawn to water; I love to swim in it, drink it, and relax near huge lakes, rivers, or running streams. Water never ceases to amaze me; it's dark, yet transparent; it's a powerful force and a calming influence; water can save lives and it can destroy cities. The earth is not only surrounded by water, but by rainfall from the skies, produces ground water! This is surely a testimonial to God's love and provision for us.
Interestingly, the earth is covered by approximately 71% ocean; human beings are comprised of approximately 73% water. In essence, we are living water, but not the living water. In John 4:7, Jesus' encounter with the Samarian woman at the well explains the difference between simple drinking water, and being born again of the living water.
13 Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” 15 The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water, so that I will not be thirsty or have to come here to draw water.”
Father I pray today that I may be of a strong constitution, and be as giving as Your living water. I pray that I can live out Your love and grace as Your great plan unfolds within me.
God waters our souls daily through His living word.
